Read the entire blog here photograph above is a standard photo of sun on clear day using daylight color balance. This is not a solar filter by itself. It was taken using a 400mm lens at f 11, iso100 and 1 8000s. They repel dirt and suppress infrared light to achieve the best possible image.

This irnd filter reduces a specific amount of visible light entering your lens. It maintains a neutral color and suppresses infrared light for sharp, clean imagery in still photography ideograph. The 16 stops consists of a 10-stop, 1000x nd filter also known as big stopper - see photo on right, 5-stop, 32x and polarize which causes about 1-stop loss ambient light. Crafted for fine lenses, hgx prime irnd filters are individually ground, polished, and coated.

However, along with all these settings there was a 15 stop nd filter and polarize attached to the front of lens. So even using the limits of camera lens 1 8000s is max shutter speed, iso100 minimum ISO without entering extended which would reduce dynamic range and f 11 roughly diffraction limit I was using, going beyond this reduces sharpness final image, still needed to complement them with 16 stops light stopping power.
